Configure acknowledgement with authentication

By default, users do not have to authenticate themselves when they acknowledge of a version. However, you can configure the Portal report so that recipients have to authenticate themselves again when acknowledging. To do this, open the properties of the Portal report and check the box next to Show confirmation dialog for acknowledgements under Configuration:
